The II Bilbao 10K, organized by Bilbao Atletismo Santutxu in collaboration with Bilbao City Council, will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The race is included in the national calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (R.F.E.A.), EA, and World Athletics, and will be held on a circuit approved by the R.F.E.A.
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the 2nd edition will be held, starting and finishing at Arenal in Bilbao.

The II 10km BILBAO race is open to athletes of any nationality, federated or non-federated, who are over 16 years of age on the day of the race. Athletes aged 16 and 17 must fill in the guardian's authorization form when registering online.
Participation with roller skates, rollerblades, wheelchairs, Nordic walking poles, pets, and other disciplines other than athletics is prohibited.
The organization recommends undergoing a medical examination and/or stress test before the race. All participants accept the risks associated with sporting activities. Likewise, athletes declare that they are in optimal physical condition to participate in this event and do so under their own responsibility.
The maximum time to complete the 10km race is 90 minutes (at 9min/km) from the start of the last box.
7.1 REGISTRATION METHODS
Registrations can only be made through the official website www.10kbilbao.com and the platforms authorized by the organization published on the official race website.
Registration for the race is personal and implies acceptance of all the articles of these regulations. Participants honestly agree not to start before the start time and to cover the entire distance before crossing the finish line.
7.2 PRICES AND DEADLINES
Registration opens on January 15, 2026, until February 28, 2026, or until school children bibs are sold out.
Aged 16 or over on the day of the race. Athletes aged 16 and 17 must fill in the guardian's authorization form when registering online.

Registration includes payment platform management fees.
The deadline for online registration for all categories is February 28 or until all bibs are sold out.
No registrations will be accepted on the day of the race.
Registrations made before February 28, 2026 will have the name that the registered person has entered in the "Alias dorsal" section of the registration form on their bib.
It is very important that participants check that their registration details are correct so that they can make any changes in time. The deadline for modifying registrations is February 28.
WAITING LIST: If bibs run out, a waiting list will be created.
Once the registration has been formalized, as the runner accepts these rules, the registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances except for those who have purchased this guarantee. For any contingency, the organization offers insurance or a guarantee for cancellation and/or change of ownership of the bib number, at a cost of €2 per registration, under the following terms:
Additionally, if you have not purchased the cancellation guarantee, you may change the ownership of your race number until February 28 at a cost of €4.
The cancellation/change of ownership guarantee can only be purchased at the time of registration. Cancellations/changes of ownership will only be processed via the link in the "My details" confirmation email sent at the time of registration and always within the specified time limits.
The cancellation guarantee fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Starting blocks open at: 5:30 p.m.
All runners under 40 minutes must prove their best time at the time of registration by filling in the "prove your time" box for an approved 5K, 10K, 15K, or half marathon race in which they have participated since January 1, 2024, with an equivalent time. If the time is not valid, the runner will start in the last starting block.
The other runners will fill in their time in order to access the starting block corresponding to their time and thus ensure a smoother start for everyone.
The organization reserves the right to reorganize the sizes and layout of the starting blocks with their respective times to make them as homogeneous as possible.
Participants must wear the bib provided by the organization correctly, fully visible, and without tampering or cutting, throughout the race.
They may only be collected on the days and during the time slot established by the organization.
All race numbers will be handed out according to the assigned race number.

10.1 10k race for those over 16 years of age on the day of the race.
TO COLLECT YOUR RACE NUMBER, chip, T-shirt, and runner's bag, you must present your registration receipt and valid ID (DNI/NIE, passport).
TO COLLECT ANOTHER PERSON'S RACE NUMBER, you must present proof of registration and a photo of the runner's identity document.
Steps to follow to collect your 10K race number
10.2 Races for children under 16: (schoolchildren)
TO COLLECT THE SCHOOLCHILDREN BIB NUMBER, you must present the registration receipt showing the bib number.
Timing will be carried out using the bib-chip system that all participants will receive. There will be a small device attached to the back of the bib that must not be removed at any time. It is not necessary to return the bib-chip once the race is over. If the bib is not worn on the chest, timing of the race cannot be guaranteed.
The official classification and time will be from the starting gun to the moment you cross the finish line. The organization will provide the net time as a courtesy, but it will not be the official time.
IT IS MANDATORY TO PLACE THE CHIP BIB VISIBLY AND WITHOUT FOLDING IT ON THE CHEST.
YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN THE RACE OR ACCESS THE SERVICES OF THE RACE IF YOU DO NOT WEAR YOUR BIB NUMBER VISIBLY.
The maximum time to complete the 10km race is 90 minutes (at 9min/km) from the start of the last box. Any participant who is overtaken by the sweeper car/motorcycle must withdraw from the race.

The race will provide liquid refreshments at the 5km point, located on Calle ELCANO, as well as liquid and solid refreshments at the finish line.

For the cloakroom, you will receive an official race number to place on your backpack (maximum 5kg).
ONLY YOUR BACKPACK (maximum 5kg) WITH THE OFFICIAL NUMBER will be collected, and it will only be returned at the end of the race upon presentation of your race number. The Organization is not responsible for any items left in the cloakroom.
Organization staff may request to open the backpack to check its contents. Refusal will result in the backpack not being accepted for safekeeping.
12.8 PACEMAKERS
The organization will provide pacemakers for the 10K race, who will be identified by the pace in minutes per kilometer on the banner on their back. Pacemaker paces: 3'30, 4'00, 4'30, and 5'00 min/km
12.9 TOILETS
Portable toilets will be installed in El Arenal.
12.10 SHOWERS: Deusto Sports Center, admission with race number until 8:30 p.m.
Under 16s, school races: Trophies will be awarded on the podium to the top three male and female athletes in all categories except Txupete.
10K race. Absolute and over 16 years of age on the day of the race. Trophies will be awarded on the podium to the top three men and women in the overall classification, the top Basque male and female athletes, and the overall male and female Masters. From the day they turn 35 (incl.).
It is mandatory to collect the trophy when required to do so. The organization will not be held responsible if you do not attend the awards ceremony, and the trophy will be considered unclaimed.
The unofficial overall classification will be published on the day of the race on the websitewww.10kbilbao.com/clasificaciones . The final classification will be published once it has been confirmed by the Committee of Judges and Timekeepers of the Vizcaya Athletics Federation (FAV) and will be the exclusive responsibility of the FAV. Times will be recorded using a computer system. There will be time control at the start and finish.
A chip system will be used for timekeeping, which will be incorporated into the race number. Each athlete will have their official time and their compensated time.
The official classification and time will be from the starting gun to the moment of crossing the finish line. The organization will provide the net time as a courtesy, but it will not be the official time.

COMPLAINTS
The race will be supervised by a team of judges from the Vizcaya Athletics Federation (FAV). Complaints must be made to the Referee of the race, who will resolve any technical issues by interpreting the race rules. In matters not covered by these rules, the W.A. regulations will apply.
The organization will provide medical services from half an hour before the start of the race until half an hour after the end of the race.
The competition's medical service and/or the organizing company are authorized to remove the following from the event:
The race will have civil liability insurance in accordance with current legislation. In addition, all participating athletes will be covered by accident insurance from the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.
The organization is not responsible for any damage caused by participants during the race, or resulting from them to third parties.
The only vehicles authorized to follow the race are those designated by the organization. It is strictly forbidden to follow the runners by car, motorcycle, bicycle, or any other means of transport, due to the danger this could pose to the runners.
Participation is at the participants' own risk and responsibility.
Upon registration, participants declare that they are physically fit to take part in the event.
By registering, all participants accept these rules and regulations. In case of doubt or if a situation arises that is not covered by these rules, the Organizing Committee's decision shall prevail.
Registration for the event implies that you have read, understood, and accepted the following:
I certify that I am in good physical condition and exempt the organizing committee from any liability that may arise from my participation in the event, such as loss of personal belongings due to theft or other circumstances.
I waive any legal action that may arise from my participation in the event. I authorize the event organizers to record my participation in the event, in whole or in part, through photographs, films, television, radio, video, and any other known or unknown media, and I assign all rights related to their commercial and advertising exploitation as they deem appropriate, without the right to receive financial compensation.
Any unforeseen circumstances will be analyzed in accordance with the regulations in force of World Athletics.
By registering for the Bilbao 10K race, participants give their consent to the legal basis for data processing in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a law that affects the entire European Union, approved in 2016 and in force since May 25, 2018, so that Bilbao Atletismo Santutxu, either itself or through third parties, may automatically process their personal data for exclusively sporting, promotional, or commercial purposes.
